If your fish is seriously ill, contact an aquatic veterinarian. Some conditions that look identical from the outside need completely different treatment, and some are not treatable at all. We say which is which as honestly as we can.

Medications and dosing

Where we mention a medication we cite a source. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the product you actually hold, not a dose you read on the internet, including ours. Dosages vary by formulation and concentration.
